Enchantment is in the air as promising brides race around the Southern Bridal Show & Expo in an effort to make their special day as memorable as possible
To ease some of the stresses of planning the big day, Forever Bridal provided the best resources in the Triangle under one roof. Brides were able to wander downs aisles taste testing succulent foods, interview wedding coordinators and even plan for their honeymoon vacation. Bakers displayed their award winning decorated works ranging from Tiffany & Co boxes from Unique Cakes by Grace to a Seashell inspired cake by Editable Art (PHOTO GALLERY BELOW). Florists exhibit true talent with cascading floral center pieces complimented beautifully by various table arrangements. A multitude of ceremony sites were offered for the kid at heart bride who may opt for Marbles Kids Museum to the more lavish scenic bride who would rather a Rose Hill Plantation setting.
Photographers display their perfected eye for capturing precious moments as non-stop party music boomed from DJs speakers. Ideas float about as venders displayed beautifully crafted favors and invitations for brides to consider in preparation.
For brides who may not have even thought of their beauty needs, Stephanie William, of BrowZnAround eyebrow studio, provides the services necessary.
“We aren’t just eyebrows” said Williams. “We specialize in all sorts of services and we make sure we provide a relaxing environment for our customers.” Williams and her team also provide the BrowZnAround Beauty Bash Party experience. A fun, mobile all-inclusive beauty package designed to give any group of women the star treatment ideal for bachelorette parties.
The Men’s Warehouse and Victorian Rose Bridals fashion show brought an array of men’s tuxedos and lovely wedding gowns. The models of Victorian Rose Bridal strut down the runway in one-of- a- kind dresses that gave life to the once forgotten lace beading. Sexy silhouettes, sweetheart necklines and peplum brought a fashionably modern flair to the dated materials.
One major thing for brides to note is that white is out!
“If you notice all the dresses are cream, ivory and more of a soft pink color” said Kat Rodriguez a wedding consultant for David’s Bridal and future bride. “Brides are no longer wearing white.” David’s Bridal even offers an ombre color for the true trend savvy bride. For all those who were wondering, Rodriquez says the mermaid style is favorable this year.
“Mermaid styles are the most popular for brides...High low dresses are what all the bridesmaids are wearing.” As for the guys? It seems like Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie” has inspired more than just a groove session.
“The slim, tailored, sleek look is definitely what all guys are into” said Nikki Saccarello Operations Manager for the Men’s Warehouse. According to Saccarello gray is the new black. Men are flocking to dark gray shades complimented with purple and green accent.
Finally for those who may still have some questions before walking down the aisle, Leslie C Price, Personal Life Coach, offers couples counseling to help put any issues on the table for discussion before problems arise.
“I wish I would have had something like this before I got married” said Price. “Now granted I’ve been married for 27 years, but I’m still learning. I think all couples should have this honest talk with each other before committing.” Price also counsels couples who are currently married and may be going through difficult times.
Excitement and friendly giggles dissipate as brides depart the Southern Bridal Show & Expo with an abundance of information and a whole new understanding.
Congratulations are in order to new and forever flourishing love.
